REV. DENISE R. MOODY PASTORAL COUNSELOR

Rev Denise MoodyDenise is Pastoral Counselor and Program Director that has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the well-being and spiritual growth of individuals and communities. Denise is certified and licensed by the National Christian Counselors Association (NCCA). Denise has a comprehensive educational background and a wide range of professional certifications as well as a license to Preach through the African Methodist Episcopal Church.

Denise brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the field of pastoral counseling and mental health ministry. Denise earned a Master of Arts in Pastoral Counselor from the School of Psychology and Counseling at Regent University, where she developed a solid foundation in the principles of psychology and counseling within a faith-based context. This academic achievement is complemented by a Master of Divinity in Theology from Howard University, which provides a deep understanding of theological and spiritual aspects, enriching her approach to counseling. Denise is also a Mental Health First Aid Instructor certified by the National Council for Mental Health Wellbeing.

Denise plays a crucial role in educating individuals and communities about recognizing and responding to mental health awareness and challenges. Her dedication to this aspect of mental health is further underscored by the Board-Certified Mental Health Coach and First Responder status with the Christian Care of the American Association of Christian Counseling (IBCC, AACC).

Denise also holds the distinction of being a Certified Instructor in “How to Start and Manage a Mental Health Ministry in Your Church or Community,” a testament to her leadership in fostering mental health support within faith-based organizations. In addition, her expertise as a Certified Temperament and Creative Counselor and Certified Prepare and Enrich Pre-Marriage and Marriage Facilitator demonstrates her proficiency in assisting couples in their journey towards stronger and healthier relationships.

Denise is a Presidential Member of the American Association of Christian Counseling reflecting her commitment to professional excellence and ethical standards in the field. Denise consistently facilitates support groups for single parents, grief share, divorce care, and couples counseling, providing a safe and empathetic environment for individuals facing various life challenges. Denise holds a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management from Columbia Union College and an Associate degree in Biblical Studies from Logos Christian College, further broadening her knowledge base and ability to connect with a diverse range of individuals. With an impressive array of academic qualifications, professional certifications, licenses, and a heart dedicated to helping others.

Possessing unmatched expertise in office management and a natural talent for supporting top-tier executives, she has had a lasting impact on the corporate landscape. Her remarkable journey, beginning at Bennett College and culminating as the linchpin of Reassurance of Hope Counseling Center, Inc., serves as a testament to her steadfast dedication and extraordinary competencies.

Beyond her corporate role, Sister Jonice finds joy in spending quality time with friends and family, managing her blog and boutique, and seeking out new adventures. Her remarkable ability to maintain this delicate equilibrium serves as an inspiring model for her colleagues and peers, illustrating that one can achieve professional greatness while nurturing a fulfilling personal life.

ROH Board of Directors - Danielle WatsonDanielle Weston – Vice President
Sis. Daniell Weston is a Washington DC native. Danielle has been in the community service over 25 years helping people.  Danielle is a team leader on the Steward Board and served as the Chair of the Women’s Council. Danielle serves her community as well, holding the position of Board Member and Program Director of the “Daughters of Destiny” mentoring group with Sisters4Sisters, Inc. Also, Danielle chaired the Human Rights Committee Borad for DC Healthcare, is a board member with Open Arms for Families and is a licensed foster parent providing respite cares for children in the DC foster care system. Danielle has worked in Government Relations for the past ten years for a company that specializes in elder care, hospice, and therapy. The scripture that Danielle focuses on is Psalm, 46:10 “Be still and know that I God, because she knows that with all that her life entails sometimes you just must stop and listen to the voice of God-he will never lead you astray.

Reverend Vivian brings over two decades of ministerial experience alongside a proven record in office management, organizational proficiency, and financial acumen. Additionally, she possesses a strong background in contract administration. Reverend Vivian is known for her exceptional presentation skills, characterized by a clear and professional demeanor, and she is deeply committed to delivering high-quality service to her clients.

Her skill set extends to payroll management, data entry, payment processing, monthly billing, as well as proficiency in software tools such as QuickBooks, Excel, ProSeries, PowerPoint, and Publisher. Reverend Vivian is also a certified Mental Health First Aid Responder, underlining her dedication to offering support in diverse capacities.

With unwavering motivation, Reverend Vivian finds great joy in providing assistance to others and being a blessing in their lives. Her overarching mission is to establish and maintain technically efficient, customer-focused offices wherever her path aligns with the divine will.

Sister Mary A. E. Burke’s life journey began on the picturesque Eastern shore of Maryland. As the eighth of eleven siblings, she learned the values of family, community, and compassion from an early age. Her proudest role in life is that of a mother to her son, Marcus Emmanuel Burke.

Mary’s professional path as a secretary and administrative assistant spans an impressive period of over three decades, amassing a rich reservoir of administrative expertise. Her distinguished career culminated in retirement from the Federal Government, where she served diligently and acquired a wealth of valuable experience.

Mary’s dedication to serving others is at the core of her character. She firmly believes that her existence gains meaning and purpose when she can be of assistance to someone in need. A scripture close to her heart, Micah 6:8, encapsulates her guiding principles: “He hath showed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God.”

I am a seasoned advertising and marketing professional with a proven history of designing and implementing successful campaigns that significantly enhance brand recognition, foster customer engagement, and boost revenue.
